Mary pays a visit to NLive Radio

Posted on 07/12/201908/01/2020 by Simon

Our webmaster, Simon, when not busy with his day job, volunteers at local community radio station NLive Radio based in St John’s Halls of Residence near to Royal & Derngate theatres in Northampton town centre. The station is owned and run by the University of Northampton, but its presenters are made up of community volunteers and broadcasts on 106.9FM as well as online via the website www.nliveradio.com and TuneIn app.

Simon hosts a weekly show on Monday evenings from 7pm-9pm playing music ranging from the 1950’s up to present day all centred around a different theme. The 2nd December show was all to do with Scotland to tie in with St Andrew’s Day over the weekend. As well as playing songs from Scottish artists and bands, our Secretary Mary Roach was a guest and spoke about the Association as well as other Scottish holidays and customs.
